Award Time Scales

How long does each part of the star award take so:

From 1st time to 1 star award

From 1 star to 2 star

and so on untill you hit your 5 star award!

1star id say you could do it within the first 4weeks you come down.

2star it will take a bit longer due to all the things that are needed to practice which could possibly take maybe 7-8 weeks after your 1star

3star will take a while due to having to be a confident paddler on grade 2 rivers, this could take between 1 and 2 years due to rivers only really being able to be run during the winter and the big step between 2star and 3star.

4star again a bit longer as it is a river leader qualification allowing you to lead small groups of people to guide them down a grade 2 river and you should really be confident on 3(maybe easy 4) rivers. not sure of the timing

5star will take quite along time as this is another river leading course for grade3/4 rivers therefore you should be a confident grade 4/5 river paddler so again unsure of the timing.

for the 4star and 5 star you can also do on the sea of this syllabus i'm not sure of what is needed.
