An interesting day was enjoyed, with a lot more water than expected.
Firstly the Duddon, flowing very fast but with all the scrapy rocks covered making it a bit less technical than usual.
Then to the Leven, an inspection of Backbarrow Bridge revealed rocks which were usually covered and no one fancied it !
Onto the Kent, up at least 2ft on last week and a much more difficult proposition. Water flowed quite fast, there was a huge hole/haystack on the S bends, the L shaped drop was once again a place to be careful and Force Falls was very forceful, all of us capsizing there apart from Dave Pass who was just lucky !. Most of us had minor epics,Jim T rolled twice going down the grade 4 on the Duddon, I took a submarine line down most of the S bends, Andy had a lot of fun with a tree at the L shaped drop to name just a few but all were unscathed apart from Jim who cut his lip carrying his boat .
A really good day
I would of said it was quite a bit more than just 2foot higher than last week. atleast 3foot.

Frank, i think you missed out the bit where david took you the wrong way to the duddon...:D Really nice paddles though, kent was a really nice level, spec force falls and s-bends, cant wait to do them again..
get it right jim. If I was guiding us we would have took the right turning as i mentioned to andy as we went past it wondering where you lot were off to.
