Hi All
As most of you now know we are having problems with Blue Green Algae at Scotmans Flash which as caused us to suspend all water activities at the Centre.
We had a meeting last night and decided that we wouldn't lie down and hope it go's away and this is what was proposed and agreed.
We have got permission to use The site at Wigan Investment Centre with some conditions that we will need to adhere to.
We will be able to transport twenty kayaks or canoes in vans and trailers from Scotmans so can coach this number of individuals if instructors turn up.
This wont absorb the numbers that we are presently working with so we will have to split the group which was agreed as follows.
Week 1 Thurs 14th June 1star and fun group mainly younger end.
Week 2 Thurs 21st June 2star 3star and Open canoeing.
This will then alternate each week until we get back on Scotmans.
Individuals will need to book onto these session witrh some sort of rationing if required. Tel Eric Bradbury 01942769812
All individuals will need to get changed at Scotmans before and after the session as we upset the people who look after the centre if we start using the car park to change.
We will also include this information in the minutes to be sent out to club members.
I know this will cause some difficulties in terms of time convenience etc but it will mean that we can carry on with a programme of activity.
