Hi ,sorry to be boring but here is an easy way to let YOUR MP know how you feel about the access situation. Just email, info@riversaccess.org this will
get you a form that you can fill in ,and send off to your MP. EASY!
Please take 10 minutes to do this and maybe in the not too distant future it
may make a difference.PS LOOK ON THE UK RIVERS GUIDE ,TO SEE HOW
PADDLERS HAVE LET THEMSELVES ,AND THE ACCESS CAMPAIGN DOWN!

I would like to reply to your inaccurate opinion that canoeists are aggressive troublemakers.

In my experience canoeists are friendly, self disciplined people, who value the opportunity to take in the natural beauty of the countryside whilst enjoying outdoor pursuits.

May I also point out that rivers were flowing well before footpaths were formed, and have been used as a means of transport by man since time began.

Generally coarse fishermen are more agreeable anglers than some of the game fishermen we have encountered.

I have friends who are serious anglers (I am also one myself) and on the whole they feel that canoeing does not make a difference to fish and other wildlife around the river (I have even seen fish swimming beneath me whilst canoeing).

The rivers of Britain are long enough and wide enough to accommodate all users.

Why is it that like-minded people, who enjoy the environment, cannot find a way to compromise and allow each other their respective pleasures.
