I am thinking about venturing into Wales on Saturday, maybe Llangollen or maybe Tryweryn or even maybe somewhere I have not thought about, Anybody interested ? grade 3 rivers with grade 4 to portage.

Common sense (F) prevailed and the grade 4/5 Trwch (sp) was saved for a day when a larger group turned out, Being only David & self meant a cycle shuttle, which meant the Dee. 2 runs down to Town Falls from the Chainbridge Hotel are always fun in fairly big water (9) but Serpents Tail seems a bit easier than at low levels as quite a bit of it washes out and it just becomes big and bouncy, Town Falls is harder in big water but there were no swimmers !.

The second run down we teamed up with 3 paddlers from Llangollen canoe club which meant no cycle shuttle. A pleasant days paddling.
