New Years Eve paddle

It depends if anyone else with a car turns out. If I am doing a cycle shuttle it may only be 1 river !

Good paddle. David & I ran the Kent first. Good amount of water, but not at silly levels (to David's disgust). I started with a swim at Prizet Bridge, got into the eddy but when I broke out I went over and got stuck in a hole. Only pride got hurt with this first swim since the Clough, also when I was stuck in a hole.

No further adventures or capsizes though.

Then down to the Leven in filthy weather, hard rain and a fierce wind, not good for cycle shuttling. The river was down on a few weeks ago when we ran it with Wills friends but not so low as to make the graveyard technical.
Ran Backbarrow Bridge again, David ran it right way up for the first time, a pleasure which still awaits me, but I did do a cracking first time roll to avoid a swim down to the grade 5/6 weir which follows the bridge.

David might have found it easier than me, but he nevertheless slept all the way home, I made do with a Red Bull !

you never asked and no one is interested bout sleep on da way home (just don't fall to sleep with eric in the car you don't know what trick he might want to do).
