Hi folks ,Chris assisted by Eric led a group down a section of the Calder, 2+ on Sunday. Kev, Natalie,Greg,Ecky,Paul,Paul Duffy,Chris ,Jim and myself.We got lots of top tips and the weather was excellent.This section
obviously needs lots of water to come into good condition;because even though we have had lots of rain recently, there were still a number of rocks showing.An excellent section for learning basic river running skills,and in my case how to adopt a safe swimming position, very embarrassing !!We were able to shoot the weir at Whalley on river right, to finish an excellent trip.Many thanks to Chris and Eric for organising this, and to Vicky and the rest of the team for running the shuttle.I will do that one again ,it was quite scenic.(It would be a nice Open Boat river with a touch more water).
