A very lively trip was enjoyed on Sunday 29th October, 5 of us ran the Clough. Two got well stuck in a stopper & had to swim, the same two tangled with a tree & had to swim and a senior member of the party was knocked out for a good 5 minutes ; 2 other members, the oldest & youngest had a quiet day and avoided trees, stoppers and did not have to even roll.


The Duddon may be a good un, but the Clough was rough !

I seem to remember it was eric that seemed to swim on that day. too bad andy wasn't there with his camera.

The trip ran on Sunday 5th November, just Bob & me

Did the Leven at a reasonable level. This is a great river for paddlers wanting to progress on moving water after a few Burrs trips. Look out for Leven Tour dates, does away with access problems for a £2 charge.

Then did the Kent from Prizet Bridge down to Force Falls. Bit low but no scraping. Got to Sedgewick Bridge just above the L shaped drop and saw Jenny Moffat, Chris, James M and Sarah watching us after their Tough Guy (Girl ?) training. We saw them later after they had paddled. They got out above the L shaped drop, why did they miss the best bit ?
